heater delete
« on: May 03, 2016 - 09:50:18 AM »
Hi Guys,

Does anyone have any information and or pictures of what the airbox would have looked like and or been used on the passenger side under the dash in a car that was heater delete optioned please. I am assuming that their would have been no need for the heater box as a whole if their are no cables or heater core or event functional vents, so what would have hung from the passenger side hole, or could it have been blanked off with a plate that could secure from under the dash......?

Thanks,
Kenny.

I can't tell you what it would have looked like stock.  It's my understanding that only rare southern and Hawaii cars got it.  Mine has the fresh air box on the passenger side and no heater currently but that's just because it was removed.  I can take a picture?

It would be pretty simple to make a block off plate for it.

My car is a Hawaii heater delete car. I don't think there is any air box just some duct work for a fresh air system. I can attempt to take some pictures.

as far as the hole, its pretty much a piece a sheet metal screwed over top of it.

If you guys do not mind taking some pictures for comparison sake, that would be great. I am not sure what airbox got used and it would have even had a special heat shield under the dash on the firewall you would think............
