Looking to build up a '71 Charger with a 5.7 HEMI /Auto with an updated suspension. Is there a recipe for the swap and upgrades that work well together?
I want to keep a Mopar K member and torsion bars with leafs on the back.
Questions include what Transmission are folks using these days and what steering box would go well with for example Hotchkis suspension parts?

I think the simplest swap includes an aftermarket K Frame giving you rack and pinion steering at the same time.

Unless you actually like to turn I believe Schumaker has mounts & TTi has headers , you will need a different oil pan & pick up , this has been done many times & is straight forward tto do .
