Same point of my initial post. Yes covering their butt. But...
They are looking at the bigger picture than one manifold...
Some root cause analysis that could point to a much larger and costly problem.
Make good with one and identify a problem that could save thousands. Sounds like good business practice to me.

Received the intake back late on Monday. Edelbrock cleaned it up very nice,  :thumbsup: so I'm getting ready to install. They said its definitely made by them, not a knock off. Also they just don't know what happened, guessing it may have slipped out the back door, but just don't know for sure.  :dunno:
And yes how could I have forgotten, Thank you Edelbrock!  :2thumbs:

Again cudos to them for taking care of it for you. And as previously noted they will address obvious internal issue with supply chain.

Just started install this am, checking hood clearance a little too tight right now for me. Googling around now for dropped base air cleaner options. I still have the under hood insulation I could take off and gain a little. It's going on a 71 challenger with R/T hood.
