71 Challenger Strut Rod
« on: May 15, 2016 - 12:47:50 PM »
Hey guys,

I took apart my suspension last night and the strut rods were a little rusty but not that bad.  Would it be best to just sand them and paint them?  Where can I get a new set of stock ones if not?  Those adjustable one are really pricy.  Any suggestions you have is appreciated.

Thanks Dave

Unless it's bent or broken, why wouldn't you do as you mention and sand/paint them?  :dunno:

Yep no issue with doing that.  I replaced my bent ones with a used set, sanded and painted them...no issues.

That boing said, I do not believe anyone repos the stock ones, so if yours are bent, you will need to find a used set.
