He beat you with money not technology or know how, I`d be a lot more impressed if he built the car himself instead of just paying for it.

I joined our local modern challenger club, and with this thread in mind I decided to switch things up and bring the old challenger, I was surrounded by 39 modern challengers 4 hell cats, and multiple scat pacs, well after pulling in to the show, all I did was open the hood and the majority of the people flocked past hell cats, scat pacs just to have a gander at the car, so yea classic gets alot more attention for sure

:roflsmiley:  lve it. your ride looks like a petal car between them.

Dodge made it possible for the family man, woman to have a classic car in a modern version.

I don't enter shows anymore. When I first started entering local shows more than 15 years ago their were a lot more old cars like ours. They would not only put me in the Mopar section but I would be in E Body class where you were competing with other E Bodies. Now they just stick you in the muscle car section and class by years. Like pre 1970 or post 1970 where you complete against Cameros and Mustangs. Comparing apples with oranges. I appreciate all cars but shows like that are just not much fun anymore.

Got "squeezed out" of a trophy because my Plymouth was part of Chrysler, which was still in business, but an American Motors car was considered "no longer manufactured" even though Chrysler bought out AMC........

The last Cruise In I went to had almost as many brand new Mustangs as it did old cars.  Where are the owners of these new cars?  They are never around when you walk past them.  I figured they would be standing next to their cars hoping to get a few more "Jack Roush" autographs.....LOL!

I love how brand new cars are "rare" right of the showroom floor. They are even serial numbered "96 of 500" on the bumper because of some special stripes on it.

The magazines are getting bad also. I don`t mind some newer cars / tech but when 50% is new stuff I`m not interested in   :swear: Mopar Action was the worst featuring new cars with 22" rims, Neons etc. - maybe that`s whay they failed?
