Six Pack carb date code

Would a Holley 3418550
                 List 4144-1
                        1779= 177 day of 1969?

             Holley 3463373
                 List 4365-1
                        1569= 156 day of 1969?

Would these be correct for a 440 Six Pack with an Automatic
And when did Holley go from a 3 digit date code to a 4 digit date code?
Or could these be from 1979/89/99?

the date code would be 177 day of 9 but yes it could be 69 , 79 , 89 , 99 , 09

I went through this with my carbs. I have a 340-6 setup, turns out the carbs are from a 440-6.
Your center carb sounds like mine. I was given this info, I don't know how they decoded the carbs.

It seems that the carbs are 440+6 California or N95 the center is an automatic carb.. The center carb has a good date (127th day of 1969), but the outers are later replacement carbs (126 day of 1977 and 348 day of 1978).

Front carb List # 4365-1  3488 H14
Also on top # D1565   6R 3406 B

Rear carb List # 4365-1   1267 H14
Also on top # D1565  6R 3406 B

Center carb 3418550 list # 4144-1 1279
Also on top D1565 6R 3405 B

I'll bet those are reproduction carbs.  The reproduction carbs gave date codes, list numbers and part numbers, but the originals did not have the part number.  Just list and date.   So yes, they could be 1979, 1989, 1999.  But for sure they are not originals.

Thanks for the info, it's good to know exactly what we have. Original carbs did not have part numbers.

Don't bet the farm on that. This re-released Holley Carb is still in the wrapper and has no part number on it. Neither do the other two in the set. I doubt Holley would stamp a Chrysler part number in a carb that was sold through non-Chrysler sources such as speed shops etc.
I would suggest that the carbs with the part number quite possibly were over the counter units available through Chrysler dealers or Direct Connection as a service or replacement item back in the day.

I would be willing to bet that none of the original Holley six pack carbs in 1970 came with a part number stamped in them.  Reproduction, re-released, NOS, over the counter carbs are all a little different and some have the part number and some don't.  There's also other ways to tell originals from carbs released / made later.  I was mainly stating that they are not originals.  Maybe I should have said it a little differently.
