New Member with a '68 Barracuda Convertible
« on: May 19, 2016 - 12:34:45 PM »
Hi all.

New member here from Edmonton, Alberta. I recently bought a '68 Barracuda convertible. Car is pretty solid as it had a bunch of metal work done and then a home sprayed paint job that turned out pretty horribly. The top will need to be reinstalled/adjusted as well as there are numerous "wrinkles" in it.  It also needs one top cylinder replaced (it's in transit to me now). The car is a 318 car with a 340 intake and Edelbrock four barrel. The car actually runs and drives pretty good. There are some minor issues that need fixing (temp gauge and fuel gauge not working to name a couple). I'm sure I'll have some questions as I chase down and fix the issues with the car so I'm glad I came across this forum

Allan

I probably should have included a photo of the fender tag. Would anyone be able to decipher it for me? I was told the car was originally beige/creme colored so that won't be a surprise.

Thanks in advance .

Allan

Thanks to both of you!

Would the "high trim grade" be a deluxe interior?

Go to Hamtramck-historical.com and look in the "Library".  You'll be able to look at all the dealer data sheets as well as the interior color/trim options.

It appears a deluxe interior would have a D rather than an H on the Trim line............ if this helps anyone.
