Superbird sighting on I-45 Conroe Texas
« on: May 21, 2016 - 06:43:11 PM »
I was trailering my 59 BelAir from storage to new home today , when a tow truck hauling a yellow Superbird drove past.

Can't really see but the yellow in the picture is the Superbird, camera would not start in time for good photo.

Shame your photo did not capture what you saw.
Last Saturday I passed an orange Superbird in flawless  condition driving up the I-405 near Seal Beach and only thought of maybe taking a picture AFTER I passed it. (insert facepalm emogie here)
Got to love the SoCal car culture on the weekends around here.

Camera would not start quick, I sometimes leave phone on camera as I am working on a license plate book.
And I had to travel at 50 mph , due to trailer swaying at faster speed, so he passed me at about 70 mph.
In that one picture of the road, the Superbird I believe is the yellow blur by the second yellow sign, needs really photo enhancement.

Cool , you saw one being driven !

We have two Sbirds in our club in Maryland.
The lemon twist Sbird was a graduation gift 198?
Had 3 but divorce took care of it.

Saw an orange Superbird in Beaverton Oregon back in around 1990, and tried to flag him down, but no success.
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"
