How many CC member restore CCs for a living?
« on: May 24, 2016 - 03:16:54 PM »
Don't know where to post this or if it has been asked before, how many CC members restore CCs only for a living?

Maybe forum rules don't allow open mention, if so please PM.

Thanks!

That would be my dream job!!! I do collision work, restoration for fill in work. plus I like saving old cars and getting them back on the road. I just redid A 72 la manse for my biggest competitor (we have been friends for years) his son snuck it to me in the middle of the night, car was in storage, and sup prized him with it for his birthday. he never knew it was gone. the look on his face made all the bondo dust I sucked down worth it. :working:

I made the decision to quit my full time job and do restorations full time back in June 2010. I've been real steady busy, as you guys know.....but I'll never get rich doing it. Thankfully I do it for the love of restoration....I have very little overhead and I can pick and choose the cars I do. I think if I was to get a big shop with employees etc.....it would lose it's charm pretty quick....Right now..."I'm living the dream" :2thumbs:
