Over the years I've had this ongoing fuel leak problem. I can never seem to get the fitting on the carb locked down tight enough... Sometimes it's the front other times its the rear. A thinwall socket don't fit right , an open end don't fit right. I just rounded another one, so I'm hoping the new one comes in by tomorrow.  Seems to me the wrench contact area should be twice as wide, then there be no issue....  :dunno:

When I have had these fuel bar issues in the past I had to buy a new fuel bar.

Sometimes the mating just doesn't work no matter what you do, and some folks try to fix it with plumbers tape which is a bad idea.

You could try to use Loctite PST 592 Thread Sealant. Worked a charm on my fuel pump fittings not long ago.

Do they make aluminum AN adapters that would work with your existing lines?  The AN adapters have a thicker "hex".

I agree new often solves unsolvable issues some times the line twists as it tightens & puts reverse pressure against the fitting causing it to loosen .

thinwall socket , some had a smaller hex closer to where the line attaches those are easier to tighten
Thanks for the parts BTW  :2thumbs:

I have a few of the very old Holley inlet fittings made of steel with a hex for a 3/4" wrench....  Similar to this design

https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_systems/carburetor_components/fittings/parts/26-144-2

Those look slick with the O ring seal if they will fit a standard Holley bowl....

Use a 6 point socket not a 12 point
Removing the warning labels one at a time.
Nature will take care of the rest.

So today was re-tooling day! I ended up buying a socket tho.... wanted 3/8 drive not 1/2. All I could find was 1 12pt but that was ok. After the initial size-up it  was time to fire up the bench grinder.
