I recently replaced my flowmaster mufflers with Hooker Super Competition Max Flow Mufflers for my 318 Barracuda.

I like the Hooker mufflers much better than the flow master ones.  I'm going to get another set for my 1974 Barracuda 440 build.  I'll post a video of the 440 in a few weeks.

Here's my 318 with new hooker mufflers, 2.5" X pipe, tti long tube headers, 600 cfm holley, eddys performer intake, 302 closed chamber heads, & Lunati Voodoo cam: :cooldancing:

....

I felt I was lying down driving down the road!  But otherwise, love the nasty sound you got from your little 318.  How happy are you with your combo, I'm still considering sticking with the 318 in the Barracuda, have a set of 302 heads like yours, already decided on a Voodoo cam, maybe hydraulic roller, so mine could end up very close to yours.

I have magnaflow and like them, no drone at all but I have also installed a pair of their 6x6 race mufflers out back, kinda don't need them but I wanted to make sure any crackle was taken out, it's loud when you get on the gas but not obnoxious, cops down here use the db app on their phones to book you for excessive noise, would I buy MF again, without question yes

I had the Flowmaster 40 series in my 72 Rallye with a 440, HP manifolds, 2 1/2" H-pipe  and a MP .509 cam.  Pulled them due to the drone and installed a set of cheap Thrush turbo mufflers on sale from Advance and love it.  I get a bunch of comments on how awesome it sounds.

I'm going for dynomax super turbos with a side exit exhaust and x pipe, aslong as I can make it all fit without hanging too low. Hoping it will be somewhat mild exiting out the side.

On a separate note, anyone run the dynomax mini race bullets? Those are intriguing based on how small they are but I understand they are really loud?

Had Dynomax Super Turbos. Sounded cool and mellow. Switched to Ultra Flo. Sounds bad ass. Although they are louder, I get no drone at cruising speed like I did with Turbos.    BTW, I'm running Exhaust Manifolds and H-Pipe 2 1/2" Love this set up.
