Could it maybe be that someone has been saving money for quite some time by cutting back on other things like vacations, staying out of bars, walking to work to save on gas, or whatever to save his or her money just to buy their dream car no matter what the cost. Maybe its not a flip car. I read on this site all the time "it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it". We all know they only made so many of these cars. Maybe he the buyer can't drive stick for some reason or didn't want to wait a lifetime to find the perfect car. It might not be perfect for you but maybe it's perfect for him. Maybe he doesn't have the time for restoring a car and wanted a driver that looks good. And just scored, in their mind. Maybe it was close to his house. We don't know their reason. But it's pretty shallow to knock any of their reasons. They might be really excited like I was when I got my car and want to join some forums to meet people and feel involved and maybe make some friends, Hopefully they don't join this one and read this post though. I mean who wants to hear everything that is wrong, in other peoples eyes, with their new prized possesion. Or that they were called an idiot and everything else.
