72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

Ya, I bought a 78 wagon, 4 speed with A/C, for $4700 new.
Lasted a long time.

I beat the hell out of that '71, got a drag racing ticket for racing a Vega and learned about working on cars with it.
They even came with a service manual so you could do it yourself back then.
30, 000 miles when I traded it in for the 1973 'Cuda.

My second car was a 69-1/2 Road Runner 440 Six-Pak, with 4-speed, Dana 4.10 posi... GAWD, wish I had that back! Paid $1300 for it in '72 (used)... rebuilt tranny with shaved synchros (every other tooth ground off, to cure the 1-2 and 3-4 shift), and put a Hurst Ram-4 in it...  Ran 12's with that car...

Pic of a pic from the 80s.
