Hello From Illinois
« on: June 06, 2016 - 12:03:20 PM »
Wanted to say hello to everyone!  Acquired my 1973 Challenger Rallye back from the guy I sold it to about 10 years ago.  I originally bought the car in 1994 when I got out of the service.  It had been painted an awful ford color and not a really good paint job at that.  The original color is A5.  The car is in rough shape and is currently not running.  The plan is to get her running and eventually get the body fixed and original paint color shot back on.

Welcome from Central Illinois (near Peoria)! Illinois has always been a Mopar stronghold, mainly because of Mr. Norm's Grand Spaulding Dodge dealership.

I lived near Grand Spaulding Dodge as a kid and remember seeing all the brand new cars sitting on car carriers right on Grand ave!

I actually grew-up on Spaulding Avenue.. north side of Chicago... used to buy parts from them in the late 70s-80s...  and they always wanted me to park my Mopar (69 340 Dart, 70 Charger, various Challengers), specifically in certain areas by their Used-Car selection...

Welcome from central Illinois.  I live in Farmer City which is half way between Bloomington and Champaign.  My son lives up in Cary, Illinois. That can't be too far from where you are at.
