hood hinges
« on: June 13, 2016 - 04:23:06 PM »
suddenly there is a lot of slop and play in the hinges,  are they rebuildable or would it be better to buy some new ones, or take a chance and get used ones on ebag .  Almost seems as if the rivets are worn and the hood slides around when you lift it.

I wouldn't take a chance on used ones. RestoRick does a great QUICK job of rebuilding them, or you could just pick up a set of new ones. I send my 1970 only ones to Rick, but for other cars I just bought AMD ones.
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

I have a few that I would have sent to RestoRick had I been smarter.  I got some AMD ones and they fit well.
