Waiting on a wire transfer for a deposit on the car. Looks like it's headed to Germany.

Great car, wish I had the cash in hand to buy it. Congrats on the sale, I'm surprised it took this long.

Don't really like the idea but $$$ talks. As long as the car has been advertised all I got were tire kickers here. A lot of comments and no "real" lookers. It's a shame but I'm not going to sweat it.

Why is it a shame that someone else gets to enjoy a great car, regardless of where they are from? Drive through Stockholm sometime and you'll see hundreds of American muscle cars on any given day. They have a huge car show each summer that is open only to American-made cars and it attracts thousands of entries. I just sold my '70 Road Runner to a man in Saudi Arabia and he would not have been more pleased with the car and the transaction could not have been more smooth. Personally, I'm glad that people all over the world have the same appreciation for these cars that the rest of us do. Don't want to turn this into a political debate but the U.S. is 5% of the world's population. It makes sense to do business with the other 95%.

Did you advertise it on a European site? Or did someone see it on a local ad

The only places I listed the car was on here and Moparts. That's where the buyer found the car. I didn't want to mess with Criagslist this time so I didn't list it there.

agreed...they are not as nit-picky either.  I sold my 71 Satty RR clone over there and it was painless.  A guy I know had a 72 RR that I contemplated buying, but he was stuck at his price, and I wasn't willing to pay what he was asking.  Remember this: A car is only worth what someone is willing to pay, and what someone is willing to let it go for. He ended up selling it overseas for just under his asking price. That is a win-win...your car=your choice.

FWIW I got my price as well. Hard to feel any loyalty to keeping the car in the U.S. when an overseas buyer is willing to buy the car without haggling.
