71 Challenger from Sweden
« on: June 21, 2016 - 04:47:41 PM »
Hello, I'm Johan from Sweden!

I bought this 71 Challenger a month ago.

It's been imported to Sweden from Texas a while ago. So if anyone has ever seen this car driven in US i would love to hear about it.
I think it may have been used for racing because i found a NOS bottle bolted in the trunk and by the look of those rear tires.

The motor and the trans had been removed from the car when I got it as the earlier owner in US said that trans was broken.
I have now restored the 727 trans and are almost ready to put the 383 BB and trans back in to the car.

My goal is to have this car ready to run before the summer ends.  :worshippy

Welcome, I remember the car when it came up for sale in Dallas. The person you bought it from scooped it up within a couple days of being on the market and paid around 11k for the car. I had spoke to the original seller a couple times and was going to look at the car. It just sat in his garage for the past 2 decades with no engine and the tranny issues. Those wheels must have been put on by the guy you bought it from but the nitrous bottle brakets were there. This car sold in Dallas just after the first of this year, the person you bought it from must have bought it to flip. Have fun with the car, I just love the 70's vibe it puts off...
