What is this wire

This wire is out of the dash harness 70 Cuda,it is black with white stripe it looks like it will go threw the firewall, the other end has a socket and bulb. I don't see any place to plug the bulb into in the dash. can somebody tell me where and what its 4 Thanks Dirk

Is it a stick car?

If  so,  I think it's the "reverse" light harness for the  " reverse " lamp  in the dash next to the ashtray..

I think ur right ,I got another one I have to post a pic of Its ared one out of the harness just over the headlight , a yellow one about 4 inches long plugs to it and has a bulb in a metal case on it with a tab that it screw on some where any ideas on that one Thanks dirk

Post a pic but it sounds like the. Lamp holder that illuminates the. Blower controls  drivers left side dash
