Hi from NH
« on: June 28, 2016 - 07:19:10 PM »
Just wanted to introduce myself.  Just bought a 71 Cuda with 440 six pack. Now going through fixing the broken things (electrical gremlins and brakes).  Live in Rochester NH.  Built quite a few GM products with LS drivetrains.  This is my first classic Mopar so I'll have quite a few questions.  Off to post some of them now...

Welcome from CO!  Just a warning, all Mopar parts are 3x the cost of anything GM.

Thanks all.  I will upload some pics once I get the car back together.  I have a quick question that hopefully someone can answer right here.  I have the 6 pack 440 with the shaker hood.  I bought an air filter and filter cover for the six pack, but when I install the filter with the lid, the shaker bubble won't fit correctly.  It hits the lid.  If I take the lid off and just have the filter installed, the bubble sits down properly.  Am I supposed to have a shorter filter for the shaker?  Or a different filter lid?  Or does the bubble form the 'lid'?

Thank you for any help.

I have a Fram and a K&N filter for my six barrel set up and they are both 2 inches tall.  I have no clearance issues with a 2 inch tall filter.
