Hey Chryco, what voodoo cam would you recommend based on what i'm trying to achieve / the rest of my drivetrain set up?

 Do you want a Hyd or Hyd roller ?
Are you Ok adjusting valves , My preference is flat tappet solids

Mechanical secondary carbs with no hoke are awesome for sure , especially with a manual trans  but you have to learn to drive them at mid to high RPM you can flor them no issue but at low rpm you may have to jump on it 1/2 way & roll in the rest as the rpm climbs or it may bog as long as you are Ok with that I would recommend the carb you are looking at . check Mancini for price though they were much cheaper

preference is hydraulic lifters, but i don't have a problem adjusting valves, as long as it doesn't become a burden.  i.e. if they need to be adjusted once a year, based on my driving habits (e.g. 3000miles/year) than I'm good with that.  hope that helps

although the car will never see winter temperatures, I live in Nova Scotia so it won't be uncommon to drive in 10 degrees celcius/50 degrees FH.  I think I would prefer an electric choke, what would you recommend in that case?   thanks chryco

I wouldn't worry to much about a choke. I have a 1986 work van and I disabled the choke and have no issue starting it in -30C etc....  It's a daily driver and has no choke, never mind a car that's only driven in nicer weather. My Challenger has no choke and I've never had an issue. Here is the carb that's on my Challenger? Best carb I've ever owned.

I would use Cometi head gaskets BTW these are far better technology with Alum heads
 My concern with the cam choice is that if you do a lot of highway driving you will need to keep the engine in the cam powerband & I assume you have a .68 OD gear so with a 26.5" tall tire your RPM will be 2100 @ 70 MPH .
 I used to use a TF60 / TF57 cam a lot , 245* /252* duration @ 50 with .572 / .588 lift & you could spec the centerline @ 110 for higher RPM or 112* for lower . awesome cam but I have been told they will not grind it anymore . but you could call & ask .
 you probably need a slightly milder cam to work down around 1800 rpm to work best for highway  you do not need a lot of RPM with 512 CI as it will make killer torque anywhere . still that much CI will work well with slight larger cams .
 The 704 is just on the edge it will be just into the powerband on the highway @ 70 MPH
 the 30230740 is a solid cam in the same range with similar duration but better lift & should be a bit milder given lash .
 call & ask about TF series these have .570 lift range at 245* duration & are more agressive yet than the VooDoo lobes
 typically setting lash once / year is normal or excessive my 440 rarely needed adjustment at all once the cam settled in

Update ... ordered the following:

Trick Flow PowerPort 240 Cylinder Heads
TTI Headers and complete exhaust system - 2inch primaries, 3 inch exhaust, X pipe, mounting brackets and stainless square cuda tips
440/512 Source Stroker Kit w/ .030 Dished Pistons

Chryco - called Lunati and talked through everything, they recommended the 10230704LK - I know you commented on this above, any further thoughts?  The gear ratios of my TKO600 are: 2.87, 1.89, 1.28, 1:1, .64

Chyrco - 850CFM sound okay given the rest of the config above? (cam, heads, CI...)

I generally use 2x the Ci but for more street use vs ,ax power the 850 will work
 with .64 OD the RPM wil be lower on the highway so it may struggle right at 70 MPH

PRW , Crane Iron , Isky iron work too but need taller Valve covers , Comp Pro Magnum stainless but they are  more expensive than PRW with similar quality
