Rear interior panel what to do

Hi,
I dont know what to do with my rear panel. The previous owner in the 70 butcher them to put speaker in, plus they are so chalky that they are pealing. Any have a solution? I'm sarting to think that even ugly repo would look better them them,

No i hate when this has been done .But it was way back in the 70s /80s when it was all the go .never done it never liked it but that,s   just me. Save your self all the work and headaches trying to find good ones at a swap meet or to repair them .Bite the bullitt so too speak and buy a new set good luck .

Easier said than done...  Thats a Vert panel.. The only repos are pretty crappy, they will work but I'd either scrounge better used ones (best option but not easy) or send yours to Just Dashes they can fill the holes before they cover them...

I wouldn't be surprised if Just Dashes could repair that. It's my understanding the recover the  panels with some sort of vinyl, so why not be able to fill the hole first, then recover Might be worth a phone call

Problem with Just Dashes is the big detail line will look like crap...

I saw on *****in Rides, they recovered the panels in leather.

Sure, it won't look OEM, but what I saw, it looked fantastic.  JD is $$$ and still won't look OEM.

Whatever you do, get matching front/rears.  Either recovered or aftermarket (Palco/Accuform).  Doesn't look good w/mis-matched set (as seen above).

JD was $500 for the rear panels back in 96... Front & rear set back then was $1400...  Today a full set is probably $2500 or more...

A few years back I posted a WIW on behalf of a friend about Vert panels he's owned since the 80's... I got posts back saying they were worth $3-$400... I showed him the thread & he said he'd paid more than that for them in the 80's....  Everyone was saying Metro or another company would make the panels soon... Hasn't happened... I know he still has the panels but he isn't gonna give them away.....

My read door panels are crappy too on my Challenger convert. I saw them listed in Classic Ind. and Legendary. Are you saying they are lousy too??? Was going to order a pair at Carlisle. I have no holes in them but they are pretty worn out and they smell awful too!

The only ones available are made by Palco. They are one step better then nothing, but it's a small step.

Been looking for used one for many years. I will give a call to Just dash and see. Any body has more pictures fo the result?

I talked to Just Dashes the other day and they want $450. each to redo the rear panels but the said they have to do the fronts also to match the color (green) $250. each plus $200 for the color Plus S/H

Been talking with a new Compagnie in Quebec. They have a new way to weld plastic. There obtain a weld that has 100%, the strength of the original part. They want to see the panels to see if they can weld them using part from a old door panel. If they can I just have to find a way to fix grain and repaint.
