Escape Room
« on: July 03, 2016 - 10:54:16 PM »
Did an Escape room tonight with four other guys......It's a lot of fun and very challenging....

If you have one in your area I suggest you try it.....

Unfortunately we didn't finish.....but afterwards I found out only 14% of the people who try it actually escape the rooms!

You go as a group, maybe 5-6 whatever. You're put into a room, handcuffed together and you have to figure out how to get out by looking for clues and solving puzzles, etc.... usually one door leads you to another room, and then another, etc...You have 60 minutes to get out.

Out of the 1000's that have tried the one we did, only 121 teams made it out in less then an hour. My sister and her daughters made it out in 58 minutes. They're ranked 22nd.

We did something similar for work function.  Not handcuffed together, but had to figure out the clues to get out of a room.

We were on the last clue when time expired.

I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

My daughter and a few friends are going to do one this month.

I did one with my family members. The chances of getting out were 20% according to the guy that gave us the rules. You have an hour, and 30 minutes in, we were stone stupid. We only got past the first clue. Then things started to fall together, and we made it out with 5 minutes to spare. It's a little expensive for an hour of fun, but your brain will be on trial. I had fun. I would do it again.

Our experience was quite opposite.... The girl told us that we were some of the fastest she's seen in the first couple of rooms then we fell apart in the last room, due LARGELY in part that one of the clues was missing...She couldn't find it either at the end.....so it's like we lost be default....at least that's my excuse  :roflsmiley:
