Finally got the other bracket made, sitting in paint now. Now I move on to the wiring and hopefully get this thing running and driving.

More bracket work. This is for the fuse panel for all of the switched power requirements.

Oh, and yes all of that mess will clean up once I run all of the wires. Need to have all of the termination points established and understand what goes where before cutting...

That wiring is just how mine is currently.  Also need to establish termination points before cutting, bundling and re-wrapping.  BTW, great job on that alternator adjustment bracket.  That should be an OEM item.   Don't suppose you'd want to build me one?   :roflsmiley:

About to start actually running and terminating the wiring, just have one more item to install, the 150A fuse for the new #4 alternator charge wire.

I wouldn't mind building you brackets but it is kind of a "one off" deal depending on the vintage of engine, alternator being used, what belt you have or intend to use, etc. My point is that I would hate to spent a lot of time and charge you for something that doesn't work or fit. Do you have a welder? It isn't that difficult to make. I make a lot of my stuff using 1/8th thick flat plate and in this case doubled it up to get the strength I need. I use a lot of "scrap", never throwing anything away. In this case I could have used the factory brackets as they were intended or altered them to accommodate a tension rod which was plan B. After looking at it and having realized I bought those brackets, I decided to go to plan C which is shown here. The other reason for going this way was the orientation of the alternator, I wanted the connections facing the left fender so I could see and get to them. If I would have gone with plan A or B, I was thinking that wouldn't be the case, although now thinking back I could have made it work.

Oh I definitely know that feeling  For me its called procrastination... and I will do it without thinking about it; usually in the form of cleaning up the shop or becoming intensely interested in something else...

Thanks.

One more bracket... I had to build one for my new 150A fuse connecting the alternator and the starter relay. I also got the alternator prepped for install. I used one of the horn mounting locations (I only have 1 horn currently -70 RR "beep beep" horn). I made the bracket like the horn brackets with a locating/anti rotation tab which worked out exceptionally well. I got the fuse at O'Reillys (fuse was $4.95) and they had to locate the holder which they did not carry but is on their website, only took about 3 hours to have it delivered to my local store from a hub ($9.95). Very nice unit from Littelfuse, the fuses themselves are called "Mega" and come in a wide variety of amperage ratings.

I tried a variety of routings for the new #4 charging wire but just could not find something I liked; if I tried to run it against the already very crowded firewall with everything else, the cable was/is a tad too short, I looked at running it across the K frame (which wasn't bad) but then decided to run it across the radiator core support where it is almost invisible. I still have to figure out where and how to mount the ECU relay and fuse as well as the ECU main power fuse. I believe these are going to be inside the car.

I need to get some 10g wire to power my new "switched" fuse panel (the one under the MSD box); this will carry the heavy blue and brown wires that used to go to the ballast resistor. I will then run the ECU, MSD and Tach adapter to this panel for hopefully a very clean install.
