Still doing some fabrication. I had to make a double stuff for the alternator which turned out pretty well. I then moved on to connecting and cleaning up the passenger side wiring which turned out very well IMO. I am not working on the drivers side. My current dilemma is where/how to mount the 2 fuses and 1 relay on the inside of the car. I have to make another bracket but the fuse bodies have a tab on the left side which makes mounting them in the same location a little awkward.

Got a fair amount done today with regards to the wiring. I have all of the under hood wires routed and connected. I still need to do a little clean up and I need to reconnect the ECU relay which is now inside the car. That and the 2 fuses necessitated the making of a panel, but that went ok. I am pretty happy with where everything ended up and how it all looks.

ITS ALIVE....  :cooldancing:

Got all the wiring done and checked everything, hooked up the battery and fired it up. I wish I could say it fire as soon as I hit the key, but that wouldn't be the truth, however it did come to life fairly quickly and settled into a 950 RPM idle. It needs some tweaking for sure, but overall it runs pretty good, much better than it ever did with carbs.

I still need to put the interior back together, but it is going in the in the right direction. I will say one thing up front; NEW ALTERNATOR!!! It definitely likes the power, lights are strong, etc. I HIGHLY recommend the conversion and wish I had done it a long time ago.

I know you can't tell from this picture, but it is running..  Oh yea, the tach even works!!!! BONUS!

Nice!

Isn't it great to see all the engine parameters on the laptop.   Ability to change timing, mixture with the click of a mouse :cooldancing:

Still working on the car, cleaning up the wiring and getting ready to put the interior back in, then is will be under the car to tighten up the seats and reinstall the rear valance.

I installed the lower dash panel today (an AC car only part). I have had this piece since I bought the car but have never installed it. Basically it hides the connections to the blower motor. It felt good putting it in, makes it look complete.
