I received the new bulk head connector for the engine harness and installed it. I eliminated the Amp gauge lead altogether as I do not believe it has a function any longer and having another "hot" wire in the mix for no reason doesn't make sense.
Unfortunately, this has not solved my problem, I am still not getting power to the heavy dark blue wire (#23) which is now my feed line for the MSD and ECU. I think this wire receives power from the ignition switch which has it own connector which is now suspect.
I will check this connector next, however the temps have dropped again so it might be awhile, plus I have to pull the seat out to work under there if it turns out to be that connector.
Here are some pictures for those who are interested. Of note is the gasket inside the connector which I could not reuse and does not come with the new one. I had to make a tool out of an old screw driver to punch the slots for the connectors to come through and then a razor blade to remove the displaced material on the back. I only replaced one terminal as the others were fine, just needed cleaning. The terminal I replaced was/is on the dark blue wire which is my problem child at the moment. I crimped and soldered it to ensure good connection and long life. Also, I am using some silver laden dielectric grease which promotes contact and reduces corrosion. It is a pain to apply, which I did to the female connectors. You have to wipe off any excess as it conducts electricity.
