What about a Wifi adapter like this.  Used it on my Megasquirt, worked well

I would have to use a USB dongle version as the Holley system uses a firewire connection at the ECU and their USB cable with water/weather tight connector.

For anyone wondering, the weather has been crap and has kept me from getting anywhere. The car does start and idle and move, just needs some tuning.

Here is a pic for viewing enjoyment.

Thanks for the words of encouragement.. oh wait.. LOL it is what it is and hopefully I will be back on it soon. Had to take the 2010 Challenger to the dealer for an air bag recall, sure was fun driving it (love that car). I am consumed for the first part of next week, but the weather is supposed to start improving slightly so I might get to the 70 late next week. Unfortunately I am having to do some work to earn a little money to support my various habits so there is that. Trying to knock out some articles for an online forum (Snipers Hide) and working on some training things, but I haven't forgotten about my orange devil... :)

Its been awhile since I posted, primarily due to the weather but also due to significant degree of burn out. I had some issues with the added gauges, kickdown and EFI tune and I just reached a point where I didn't want to deal with it. Eventually I replaced the gauges and went electric across the board as the oil pressure gauge was leaking a little and I just happened to have a full set of Autometer electric gauges available.

I took some time and really looked at the kickdown cable set up and determined it was not setup correctly (never has been, but I have probably only driven this car a total of 50 miles since I built it in 05). I ended up making a new bracket for the cable and now should have a 1:1 ratio between the throttle and KD lever.

I have been struggling with the EFI a little; it starts, runs and idles but it seemed to start hard and I wasn't happy with that. I was also having issues getting the laptop to sync up to the ECU which I think was a/is a laptop issue. I have been spending a lot of time reading about the Holley HP EFI system and have made some changes in my tune that I need to test out to see if I can get it to start a little easier (seemed like it was firing on the compression stroke perhaps or loading up and igniting at the wrong time). The timing is good I believe but I am playing with the priming and ECU timing during cranking.

If there is anyone out there with Holley EFI experience, I would love to hear from you.

Finally, I have something to write about.. I having been playing with my tune and decided the weather be damned and went out and fired it up. All in all, it seems to be going in the right direction however I am still having issues on starting. It cranks and then coughs before starting which I am thinking is a timing issue. I have it set at 10 deg while cranking which is a change from the 15 it was at; it seemed to like the 10 better but still isn't right.

Took the car out to drive it (even in the rain, those little wipers are comical compared to modern cars). Immediately I determined that the car is not shifting into 3rd at all. It hits 2nd at about 2500 very firmly but will not go into 3rd at all. So, before I can do much else I need to figure this out. As I previously wrote, I adjusted the KD (line pressure) cable to be a 1:1 or at least I believe that is where it is at, but that doesn't seem to help. I am not real sure on how to proceed other than shortening the cable some to see if that helps.

What distributor are you using?
Rob

3 E-bodies, Megasquirt-1v3.0, Edelbrock Pro-Flo-1, Holley C950, FAST EZ-EFI; say no to carbs...yes to throttle bodies

So I dropped the pan and while there were some small shavings, no big chunks. The fluid did smell slightly burned but was still red. Keep in mind that this fluid has been in the vehicle since I built the car in 04, so it was due for a change.

While the pan is down, I checked the line pressure lever and it is set so that any movement of the throttle will apply pressure on the valve.

Nice project. How many hours of work do you have into it to complete it?

If you are referring to just the EFI 6 pack, well I would have to estimate maybe 20 hours or so depending on your experience level, tools, etc. Putting it all is isn't that hard, its getting to work correctly and then the tuning that are time eaters. I have been working on this car since I bought it in 2000; had it basically together by 2004 and since I have tinkered with it, fixed problems I overlooked or ignored, changed some things, etc. all leading me to this point.

For those of you following along, I have been working on the car a fair amount lately, specifically the tune and trying to get it sorted out. thus far, it seems to be getting better. It definitely idles nicer than it ever has. Unfortunately a new problem has developed, the trans will not shift into 3rd. I suspected the KD (line pressure lever) linkage. I read a lot online, posted a thread here under transmissions and adjusted the cable several times, none of it changed the end result.

So, I guess I now have to drop the valve body out of the trans and see if something is wrong; although I am not sure that I will be able to recognize something wrong. I am not really excited about pulling the trans but we will see.
