What you have is basically a low lift slow ramp RV cam with a lot of low end tq but no real upper power band
there are a lot of cams available that will work in the same RPM range but still be a big improvement

ok
https://www.lunatipower.com/Product.aspx?id=2977&gid=287
 700 cam actually has less duration @ .050 with 208 /213 instead of 218
also has much less as advertised 253/258 instead of 288 duration
with more lift .454 over .444
Centerline is the same @ 112 so very little overlap with potential to build high cyl pressure on low comp engines .

 or this
https://www.lunatipower.com/Product.aspx?id=1543&gid=287
701 cam similar duration @ .050 with  213 /220
still much less advertised duration 256/262
lift .454 / .475
& the same 112* CL

The first description says it works well for pleasure/ ski boats....and mild towing? :clueless:

The second description says great for marine and heavy towing applications....   Is he working on a ski boat, a tow vehicle or a muscle car?  Now I'm really confused, Mopar or No Car......:dunno:

PS - make sure you pay attention to how many bolts your cam has too!   I bought a lunati the first time and it was a single bolt.   My setup had 3.    Ergo I got the Comp Cams one.

WELL I got my answer, I guess I will be changing out the cam at some point!!!  It's A muscle car, if I want to tow something I jump it my wrecker.  and I have no desire to go boating or water skiing. this cam was in the car when I bought it. maybe over the winter I will seek advice on A better choice for A cam. thanks for letting me pick your brains on this. as stated I know far more about body work and laying down paint.  :2thumbs:

The cam I posted will give you better throttle response and a snappier power band than the one you currently have, and imo, will be a better cam overall for your particular app, but again, you have not answered some of the questions, therefore, it is still a guess based on the info you have provided.

OK have not found any casting numbers on the heads, factory cast iron. intake is A factory cast iron 4 barrel quick fuel HR-750 dabble pumper, HP exhaust manifolds.

Ok, a compression test on two cylinders would be enough, however, even without that info, I would still run the cam I posted instead of the one you currently have . Other mfg's make similar cams and it would be hard to tell the difference between them by the seat of your pants . I typically use Comp, Lunati, and Howards cams.

It would still be helpful if you told us what you like and don't like about the current cam.

Do you want more lope at idle?

Do you want one that hits a little harder when it comes on the power band?

Hoe far does your current cam rev?

Can you live with a few less revs if you get better power everywhere else?

Sounds like a good street cam...I am eyeing that one for my next build.

So you must be building a sweet tow truck!  Keep us posted on how that turns out.

No plans on that....just a nice street car.  Figure lots of low end torque would be a good thing.
