SOLD, THANKS
« on: July 10, 2016 - 02:10:31 PM »
I have decided to sell my 1970 Challenger T/A "survivor".  It is completely numbers matching which means engine, tranny, radiator support, cowl, fender tags, dash vin, door jamb, etc.  It retains most of its original paint and presents very well for a 46 year old car.  The engine is strong and runs great, with just a little bit of blow-by.  The engine/tranny do have leaks.  There is no bondo on this car.  The trunk pan and sail panel were replaced on the car but all other panels are original.  Floors are solid but have had some patches over the years.  Rims are correct and sporty the appropriate staggered polyglass tires.  Interior is mostly original with the seats and carpet redone in the correct dark green.  All gauges work, AM radio works, headlights, turn-signals, brake lights all work.  Both fender tags are original and present.  Hood is original with the typical warped areas.  Radiator does not have oem markings so it must be a reproduction.  The 340 heads on the car not T/A heads but I have a set of T/A heads that go with the car.  I do have the build sheet for this T/A.  Color is the rare DY3 Beige.

Overall, this is an authentic, numbers-matching Challenger T/A that is drivable today sporting its original body panels (-trunk, -sail panel).  Although it is a very solid car, please consider it in need of total restoration if you want to take it to Barrett-Jackson.  I've been to car shows with this T/A and people walk right past the pretty cars to get to this survivor.

I plan on listing this car on eBay but thought I'd list it here first.  My price is $35,000.  You won't find another numbers-matching T/A anywhere near this price.  I have more pictures for very serious buyers.  Car is located in Richmond, VA.  Thanks!

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

I gotta say that I would be torn between leaving it as is, its only original once, and doing a full restoration Alan G style.
