Hey there,
I have a 1971 Challenger that I put a 472 Hemi crate motor in. The motor has been running fantastic, dual quad/crossram, custom headers, etc.
The issue I'm having is, my Milidon pan is too low for any kind of bump in road that is bigger then normal. In normal driving, I'm fine, but a decent up-down bump, and I'm scrapping the pan, so much that I knocked a whole in it the other day.
I don't race the car, but when I was installing the motor, I was being helped by a guy that kind of had drag racing on the mind, and felt that the stock HEMI oiling system is not up to par.
I have the stock pan/oil pump, etc, and am considering putting it back on to gain the ground clearance. Below is the pan I have....any input is awesome.
So, for those of you with a Gen II Hemi, and run the car hard, are you running the stock pan and oil pump without issue?
