    Here is a link to my last thread which was on my gasket issue, and I noticed my last post on it was the day of my heart attack!

    I dont own the 71 Cuda anymore since I sold it a little over a year ago, but I think its still owned by another member here. Last I heard he was planning a Nascar 472 transplant?

     My manifolds blew the gasket in the center bottom.
    Find a Machine Shop and have the manifolds planed.
    They are 45 yrs old and warp.
    Use metal insulated gasket and buy a can of copper gasket sealer.
    Broke the studs off with the long sleeve and had both manifolds planed.
    Looking at  your pic of possible leak the manifold bolts look nasty.
    Take care of yourself have someone do the work.

    Got the driver manifold off yesterday and will be taking it to a shop to work on it. Its not perfectly flat.

    Wow, I cant believe how fast time flies.
    I did finally get the manifold planed and remounted with only the sealer and no gasket. Though I have only driven maybe once per month since then, so far it sounds sweet. Im hoping to get to the Florida Mopar Nationals this coming Sunday.
