Peak To Peak it should easily make 25 but the big gains in midrange torque are what makes them worth it.

I've often wondered had I gone with Hemi TTi headers vs. the manifolds what increase I would see.

Hemi exhaust manifolds are pretty stealth if their flow. 2 1/2 outlets with large runners.
Certainly doesn't appear to me that they're restrictive.

Thanks everyone.  I will first change my 276 gears to 323 gears and consider the headers down the road.  I am learning that there has to be a stopping point as you can just keep going and going with these cars and spending more and more $$$$.  I just want more power, but what I need to do is be content for now, wait for this engine to blow up and get crazy with something years from now.

Thanks everyone.

If you like to be quick off the line, and not get beat by little rice rockets,
I'd try 3.55s
But 3.23s if a daily commuter car
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

What about a set of headers for my 440? I went with the HP manifolds and have had nothing but valve cover gasket leak headaches.

Common problem.  You need to look into a different gasket.  The best on the market are made by these guys.  http://www.superformanceproducts.com/

Check out this article from Hot Rod.  Some of you may remember it.  On a 300hp 360, TTI headers were worth 11hp compared to 340hp manifolds.  Small 318 manifolds only dropped 4hp over the highly sought after 340's.  Obviously the more highly modified an engine is, the more headers will make a difference.  Headers might also make more of a difference on a BB verse a SB.

Headers are usually one of the first performance upgrades people do.  While they may not increase hp by a large margin, they do set the foundation for more radical engine changes down the road.
