Welcome form California
If you are thinking or planning to drive and upgrade as you go? If so start with brakes and suspension. If your doing a complete tear down their are many others here who have lots of experience who can guide you.
For tires http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=19470.1020 search here on CC for threads that can guide you, if question just ask these guys are good and helpful.
Good luck and we love pictures!

Welcome from CO!  There are a bunch of nice helpful people here, so feel free to ask any questions.  It is always good to start with a direction, how do you want your car to look and will it be street only/street-strip/auto-x?

Resto-mod means different things to different people.  Are you swapping to a Gen 3 HEMI?  Only modifying brakes and suspension?  Electronic gauges?  Interior?   Here is a section on resto-mods:  http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?board=54.0

For tires/wheels, there are endless combinations.  What size wheel are you looking at?  Rallye, Cragar, or more modern?  White letter tires or wider track?  Here is a thread on tire/wheel combos:  http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=19470.0

My personal preference on suspension is Hotchkis.  If you want to switch out the K-member you can look at RMS, Magnum Force or QA1.
