Spark plug wires

My MSD 8mm wires have about 50,000 miles on them.
Do I need to replace them, or is just an ohm/resistence check
necessary to determine if they are good?

I'd raise the hood in total dark & see if there's any arching...if so time for new.

Good idea!
wonder if arching would give higher resistence readings? maybe not.
Maybe an ohmmeter can't detect everything.
You would think over time, due to heat, they would deteriorate.
May just do it anyway, but its a pain cutting them to length, to get exact fit!

I would start with the ohm meter & see what the readings are but it is extremely low current compared to 80k volt spark

ya, good point, lotta opportunity for loses at 80,000 volts

if you have low resistance (ohms) you have better spark!!!
