The eccentric that hits the pump  is probably at full stroke ..lol full stroke ...

If you rotate motor a quarter turn an get it to move it might be a little easier.

Its got a pretty tuff spring inside . You just stick it in and start each bolt then evenly run them in .

It it not letting u stick it in?

The arm goes under the eccentric not over.

..

Or read this .

Yep, what the man said. We just changed mine and you need to put the arm in and under the eccentric which will cause the body of the pump to nearly touch the timing cover at the top and there'll be 1-1.5" opening at the bottom. See if you can start the bolts and be careful not to cross thread them and then, as mentioned, pull them tight bringing the pump body up fully against the cover. Good luck.

Called the engine builder and was told to turn engine over I complete turn this brings it from top dead center to No6 on top . Pump when right in without a hitch, then turned one more complete turn back to top dead center Thanks everybody DirksCuda

Sorry Dirk.   I was trying to mark this thread with the "watching with popcorn" emoticon (or whatever those things are called) so I could easily find it when I get to putting my pump on.   I tried several times to fix my post so that the image showed up rather than the link, but I wasn't successful so I just deleted it.

That's a lot of words to say "I screwed up".
