ESPN - negative videos
« on: July 30, 2016 - 06:29:26 PM »
I'm big a college football fan, so I often go to certain websites to view the latest news about my alma mater.  One of the websites I tend to visit routinely is ESPN since they have a dedicated section for this particular school.  Over the past year or so I've noticed that every once in a while, ESPN will post a short video about some negative incident from the schools past.  Some are as old as 30 or 40 years ago and some are from within the past few years.  When these videos show up, there is no article associated with them and there is no place to leave comments like there is with every other video/article that they post.  The videos are not posted on an anniversary of the event or anything like that, as far as I can tell.  These videos will stay up anywhere from a couple hours to several hours and then they're taken down with no indication that they ever existed.  I just saw one of these occur again a couple nights ago and it was gone 3 hours later.  It's very strange.  Just wondering if anyone else every sees this happen with their school or if it's limited to just this one particular school?

That sounds really strange. Have you tried contacting ESPN about it?

Nothing surprises me in regards to ESPN anymore.  No wonder they have lost so many people to other networks lately.

No, it isn't worth it really.  Just wondered if anyone else had noticed anything similar.

Yeah, from what I understand, they're really having to cut some costs to stay competitive with Fox.
