Starter Relays
« on: August 01, 2016 - 10:42:36 AM »
I've been reading that there is a starter relay for an auto and one for a manual car. They look the same and have the same part number. Is there really a difference between the 2? Other than the date codes are they all the same for the 70-74 Challengers?

I think the only difference is in how the safety switch is grounded and nothing to do with the relay itself.  :dunno:

Before 70 there were 2 different relays the 4 spd one grounded at the relay & only had 3 connetions & as there was no clutch safety switch .
this has no effect on E body cars though as they all had the safety switch & used the same relay as the auto trans cars
