1970 Cuda Convertible Hemi Clone

I missed out on the 1971 Challenger Convertible that I posted previously.  Its' going to Denmark.

What do you guys think of this one?  The dealer is willing to deal so far.

Is it a Cuda or a barracuda? Either way it's over priced but for that money it'd better be a real BS27 cuda.

Just did my research.  The car sold at Mecum in 2015 for 65K.  Don't see any upgrades.  With a 6% fee, that's about 69K into the car.

After looking at the pictures again $65K was a decent deal it would be impossible to build for that. There's a  purple hemi clone on ebay right now for $75k. It's not even close to as nice but it might be worth a look.

Been seeing some recent lower prices at the auctions for Mopar clones. Perhaps more than a feeling.

wholesale auto auctions and buying across the board has been weird the last couple months and will probably continue through the end of the election season. election season always makes people tighter and more scared with their money.

Back story on the car. It has changed hands a few times since the 65K auction.  Current owner wouldn't take the 79K that I offered.

Crazy that it's changed hands so many times and only 90 some miles clocked on it

It should have so much more to offer at that price. No manual trans, ugly rad, ugly brake booster and that's when I stopped looking.

You offered $80k?

For $80k, find a real 340/383 'Cuda convertible.  Will always keep its value.  If you have to have a hemi, save up and buy a crate and save the original motor.
