If you run with the a Battery in the trunk with welding cable, where do you connect the 10 Gauge wire to? To the trunk or the other end of the cable under the hood? Thanks.
Depends how you did your wiring. Do you have a starter solenoid in the trunk as well as the battery?

Not sure what you mean. The new alt will give you more supply current for your fans. You should, if you haven't already, add a wire from the o/p of your new alt to the battery

I ran a 6 gauge wire from my new alternator to my battery. What happens to the old black wire that was on the old alternator along with the green, and two blue wires? I know the green wire goes right to the voltage regulator but the solid blue and blue with white tracer goes where? I have done the bypass also. Thanks

Heavy black stays on the alternator ( stock) Same with the green and blue field wires. Not sure what the blue with white tracer was for? Temp gauge? A/C?  :dunno:

Why would the green and blue field wires stay on the alt? The external regulator is obsolete.

There are threads on converting to one wire alts, but I am not familiar with it.
