Preserving a Broadcast Sheet

Have this broadcast sheet out of the '69 RR I just got.  Was wondering what is the best way to flatten and preserve it.

I wonder if using a sheet of glass so you can see where to move it slightly would work well.

if you can find a heavy large book and put it in there as flat as possible will help flatten it over time.

Then I'd get it lamenated

get non acidic plastic sleeves.  install im the sleeve and out it in a big book. Or under something bigger than the sheet.

You can get the non acidic sleeves at most art supply stores.  The sleeves are very popular in the art profession.

Yes: What Cuda Hunter said. Then after it is flat get a few colour copies made and get them laminated for people to paw and keep the original in the sleeve in a safe place.

I tend to put 5 or 6 laminated build sheets back in the car in different places . I keep the original in a file cabinet until I sell the car of course.

Wife was boiling some eggs this evening, so held the sheet in the steam to soften the paper.  Put it between sheets of wax paper on a hard metal surface.  The wax paper is translucent so could see as I was straightening it out.  The put a bunch of books on top.  I think this will work nicely to flatten it out.  Now to get the non-acidic sleeves.  Thanks.

Heh. I was thinking "I wonder if you could steam it?" :-)

Flattened product.  Steaming worked great to soften the paper so it didn't crack or tear further.
