schrader valve In trunk floor
« on: August 15, 2016 - 05:37:16 PM »
The car I'm restoring and one of the two parts cars I've had have a schrader valve in the trunk floor.  I'm assuming it was for the rear shocks.  Was this stock or just something added over time?

Thanks

Definitely added, I put air shocks in mine way back in the day.
Factory never had an air valve in trunk.

Mine had airshocks with valves in the trunk when I first got it. First thing I took off and junked....
Definitely NOT stock.  :grinno:

Mine had a schrader valve in the trunk as well. Not stock. Just a popular mod in the '70's, early 80's.

Gabriel Air shocks usually had just one valve. I put Monroes on my 1973 and had a valve for each side. No air bleed while under cornering load.
