Upper Radiator Hose
« on: August 18, 2016 - 12:53:40 PM »
Looking for ideas on what would fit my 440. Already tried the Dayco 70352 which is pictured and its about 2-3 inches short. The curve from the radiator is perfect but its to short on the motor side. I tried the flexible and the shiny hoses on my small block and not a big fan of those but it may be my last resort. Thanks in advance

I just put on a gates 20630 and it fit pretty good with minimal trimming after trying the same dayco you did. A slight "crimp" in one area but nothing that should restrict flow at all. Was under $15 on amazon.

Oh nevermind, just saw you have a side mount on your water neck. Mine is from the top.

Looks like it would fit fine if you cut it down.
Wouldn't worry about the curve at that point, it will straighten out.

I think you could work with that hose and a good quality clamp. :2cents:

I agree with Anlauto.  It will straighten especially since you have the long neck on the housing.   :2thumbs:

Well I went to my favorite auto parts store today and after 10 min. of looking, found the right one. It is a lower hose of a 04-06 Colorado. A little trimming and it fits beautiful. Best part it was only $4.19 not the $16.00 I was going to cut up. Thanks for all the suggestions.

:2thumbs: Many times I have walked the isles in part stores for the right hoses to fit my mods. I cannot stand the look of the flex hoses.
