a future project, as the carb has to be upside-down to adjust the secondary
throttle plate position.

I agree, should balance out, so wonder why they recommend a tiny opening
in the secondary throttle plates. Probably assuming I have no holes in blades.
I have a small hole in each throttle blade, because of my cam.

 Bingo! w/o the holes in the throttle plates, the primary side blades would be open so far that you would be idling on the transition slot fuel (not adjustable). The primary idle mixture screws would have little effect.

OK, well, on the road again, and running good!
Thanks again for all the help!
Long as this carb is working, will hold off on an FI system
(unless I get bored next winter!)

dang new Turbo Porsche following me today, but he got alongside then turned off.
That would have been interesting. I was in second gear, ready to floor it!

Maybe next time! I TRY to limit racing speed to 100 mph if possible, but ... :dunno: Just be careful!!
