So how does this 5.7 compare to the 383 in your '71 Challenger?

Mike, I quoted you. But I will try to answer this for everyone.
A direct comparison is really tough. This car is a little faster, more comfortable and handles better. It does seem to have a more limited power band though. What I mean is the 383 is strong from low RPM up to screaming levels. The 5.7 puts you back harder in the seat on every shift, but the 383 seems to hold you back in the seat longer.
I haven't really nailed this thing full on yet as I am still getting familiar with it. That, and I need it to last as my daily driver are going to keep me holding back some.
