Headlight bracket bolt to support needed
« on: August 21, 2016 - 04:28:33 PM »
Anyone know what are the correct bolts that go to the radiator support?
One bolt would go through to behind the wiper washer plastic tank.

If you have a 71' Cuda and it's original, please send me a PM regarding this bolt.

I haven't been able to locate it on R/T Specialties.
Maybe just need the right search words on their site.

Take a look at the picture I posted on my first post.

There's a hole on top of the radiator support.

Below that hole, there's another hole.
It's where the headlight bracket bolts to the the radaiator support.

No.

I remember it was a big washer fixed. Just can't remember what size it was.

I need both sides done

I think it was a bigger washer?   :dunno:

Isn't anyone here with a 71' Cuda have a picture of them they know are correct on their car?

My car is a 71 Barracuda but bolts should be the same. The brackets on both sides have this bolt and nut.

Yup,

That's it!    :2thumbs:

I recognize the oversize washer from memory.

Anyone have those? And the nuts?
Or who carries them?

If Mopar Jack can give us some critical dimensions I probably have some.  I'd guess it is a 5/16 bolt,  what is the length of the bolt and what is the diameter of the washer?  I recognize the nut.

Agreed, the nut looks fairly common

Hard to tell in the picture, but it sure looks like a 1/4-20 bolt and nut. The small bracket does not warrant a 5/16 bolt. The 1/4 20 is more than enough to hold the headlight bracket to the core support.  :2cents:
