yes, but new zealand has 4000000 people
thats an incredibly smaii percentage of the worlds population, and the only way to meet these requirements would be to significantly downsize out dairy/sheep industry, and if we did that, our econimy would probibly crash

At least they are trying to set an example for the rest of the countries that don't care.

Maybe you and Andrew should trade spots then, so you can live with people who think like you.

Actually, I was trying to explain why they have that policy.  I'm definatly not one of the gun control nuts.  However, I do know a few people who should never be allowed to even touch a gun with a 10 ft pole.

America is a geat country but it has it share of problems and stupid laws.Taxes keep going up and we have way too many lawyers to work frivolous (sp) lawsuits b/c people are either greedy for easy money or too stupid or not mature enough to take responsibility for thier own actions.

oh, and another thing they havean almost fearful opposition to nuclear power, they claim to be "protecting new zealands clean, green image" by ysing smog belcking coal fired power stations and noisy, dangerous wind farms over one of the cleanest, safest form of power. They have also banned smoking in all indoor workplaces, namely pubs and resturants, effectively taking away peoples free will.

in conclusion, the labour government are a bunch of derranged hippies (im sorry if i have offended anyone in this most rantful of rants)

Energy production in general is just plain dirty and dangerous.  I don’t know if there are that many wind farms in the US, but I have never heard of them being “dangerous.”  And there is a design out there that is a lot less noisy.  As for nuclear being the “cleanest and safest form of power:”  Tell that to all of the people who live in the areas where the government transports and dumps 55 gallon drums of toxic waste.  A steel drum ain’t gonna hold anything for ever.

I appreciate the government stepping in and banning smoking indoors.  It's nice to eat a meal and not be choaked to death.  I think that it is insane that they have passes laws to ban smoking on beaches and even in one whole town!  Thats a bit too far.

NZ might not have the best government, but the US is on a down hill slide.  You won’t want to be here in the next 30 years.  Just be glad that you have the freedom to ***** about the problems in your country.  In due time we won’t have that luxury either.

Go have a look at the "The Scenic Thread" if your not proud of that then your better off moving. Your only 14, you'll grow up.  ::)

Oh yeah, if our dairy industry collapses our market will crash!
Forestry, Fish, Tourism, Car factories, Fruit just to name a few...we'd be fine even without our biggest export group.
