Carb Bowl Sight Glasses

Those little acrylic float level sight glasses you put on the side of your carb bowls, can
break off, if they are cheap, or been in a while, or if tightened down to much on intitial
install.  Which means you could have a fire. Also, when unscrewing one tonight, I had to use a wrench,
due to it being in there a long time, and little shreds of plastic were left inside the bowl.
So I recommend once you get your float levels correct, use the brass plugs with o-rings instead.

I can't agree with this more. DONT USE THEM!!! I bought a pair that actually melted from engine heat and another that snapped right off.  These are serious safety hazards. Seem cool, but totally not worth it.  I had to clean all of the crap out of my bowls and replace my needle/seats after

I drop them in and set the carb - swap the brass directly after.
