I just got a very nice 70 hemi 4 speed, good throwout bearing, new disc, tranny cross member with new tranny mount, rods and shifter box out of the local bargain section in the paper for 500 bucks and the guy threw in a nice original dual cut out valence for a Cuda. Obviously it was a great deal, but something I have learned while putting cars together, don't jump the gun on things til it boils right down to when you need them. I have definately picked up stuff at full retail early in a restoration only to have a great deal come along in the mean time. Both Brewers or Passon would be able to have you a tranny probably in a few days when it gets down to crunch time of you needing it.
