Where to get replacement clock/odometer reset shafts
« on: August 26, 2016 - 09:13:39 AM »
I've been looking everywhere for new reset shafts that the knobs attach to for my ralley clock and odometer.  I think I determined I need to get a whole new cable for the clock, but how about the odometer?  Somewhere in the past, someone apparently broke off the threaded part of the shafts.  Anyone know where I can get these?

Thanks,
Derrick

Since you said "cable for the clock" I assume your dealing with a '70/'71. Breaking the threads of those shafts happens because people aren't aware of the barrel screw that's down the center of the knob. You'll need a new clock cable, it has the threads on the end. As for the trip odometer reset shaft see if you can contact Greg Garner from RT-Eng. Ages ago he had some, I know because I bought one from him at the Nationals one year.

I found this French ebay thing while Googling.

It is a 71.  That french ebay ad looks exactly like I want, but not from France....  I guess I'll end up buying the new cable.  Mine is broken with a 'fix' as it is.  Just such a PITA to take the dash apart AGAIN...
