Let the Games begin, 70 Challenger SE
« on: August 26, 2016 - 10:19:46 PM »
I travel alot for my work so this is going to be a drawn out process, but here goes. I bought this car in Georgia, it was started by two different people, no telling what I am missing. the first restorer changed the hood to a shaker and had it painted. This is a true plum crazy car 383 automatic. The second guy did not like the color so he had it painted again. It is a rotisserie paint job. I have many new parts that was bought by the second guy. I am suppose to meet the first guy in two weeks to get more info on the car and possibly identify the original owner or close to is as I can. My second car to restore the first being a 64 Impala my dad bought new( sold it like something crazy)
I have with the new parts a new rebuilt 383 to factory specs and and 737 trans. I will add the fender tag later. Long story short I remember being at the Dodge lot in the day and seeing these cars and I always wanted one. SO here it is.

Been working on my car for the past two weeks, will post pics next week. As I said before this car was totally   disassembled when I got it. I do have a question . .....I am running  the fuel and brake lines now, do the two lines run together   or is the brake on the drivers side and gas on the passenger side? This is a 70 challenger RT SE, so does it have a gas return line. Any help will be appreciated .  Who is going to the Year one car show this saturday?
Tim
Pictures would really help

Brakes on the left side  , fuel on the right side fuel return line used with 3/8" lines so not on 383 cars but yes on 440+6 & Hemi

Nice project! I love the SEs!
