Beginning gathering parts for my 71 cuda resto mod.   Going with modern suspension and 4 wheel wildwood discs,  but not sure if I want to keep the 15' Chrysler rallyes or get the 17" from year one.  Although the 17's open up a lot more options for braking,  and have some other benefits as well,  the primary factor for me will be LOOK.    I don't want the car to look too restomodish from the outside.  Sometimes wheels can look way too big for a car, and I don't want that look.   In the end,  I just got to look at pictures of them already installed and see if I like them,  if not  15's they will stay, even if I have to go with smaller discs.

Any pictures would be really helpful...

I found these by just Googling (17" Rallye wheels Cuda)

If you are going to run a 17" Rallye wheel, you could upgrade the brakes with one of the kits that Dr Diff sells.  That will save you some money over the Wilwood kits.  If you were going with a different style wheel where you were going to really "see" the brakes, then the Wilwoods would get my vote.

FWIW IMO fifteen years ago 17" looked huge, now they are so common they they look pretty normal & tire selection with an eye toward keeping a decent sidewall makes them a good option.....

The fact Year Ones rally wheels actually look good and properly proportioned as opposed to the ugly 17-18 & 20" Rally wheel attempts by Foose & a few other wheel makers.....

Theres a member with an EF8 Cuda vert with the 17" rally that looks really good....

The first Vipers/GTS's had 17" wheels. :eek2:   They looked sooo huge back then.  I just laugh when I see them now.  Same thing with the Dakota R/T's.  I remember when I heard they were going to come with 17's.  That was just crazy.

Do you know if they make them with the dark grey centers?   I like the contrast more then just the argent silver alone.

I showed her the picture and her opinion was the wheels take away too much attention of the car and it's body lines.

I really like them and have been considering getting them.

My son wants to do the same wheels I have on my Cuda, on his car [69 Fastback Project] but make the wheels black with dark argent 71 centers.
We'll plasi-dip them first to see if we like it. Will try a few different combinations and shades.

The plan is for the car color to be 2009 Viper Graphite

That one is professional.
Randy's Ring and Pinion Calendar photo shoot. Seattle, May 2016 for 2017 or 2018... Don't know which it will be in yet.

Link to pics I took.
All of these are with my phone except a few from a DVD from the shoot they sent me. It's easy to tell the pro photos from the phone snaps.
